The Lonsdale Neighborhood

Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.
Isaiah 58:12

Lonsdale is an urban neighborhood in North Knoxville, Tennessee. It has a deep history of racism and physical poverty. Today it is primarily comprised of Guatemalan immigrants, African Americans, and African refugees. We recognize that the physical poverty seen in Lonsdale often stems from poverty in other areas. We seek to address the spiritual, emotional, and academic deficits that can rob children of their potential.
