Clayton Wood

Executive Director

Clayton grew up in Wears Valley, TN where his parents operate Wears Valley Ranch, a Christian home for children. He has a degree in English Literature from UTK and a law degree from Washington and Lee. After practicing law for several years, the Lord called him to the position of Executive Director at Thrive in 2012. He is a pastor at Lonsdale Community Church and enjoys ministering to our neighbors here in Lonsdale. Clayton loves spending time with his wife, Danielle, and his 5 children and is an fan of all things Vols, especially Tennessee Basketball!

 
 
 
 
 

Linnae Costa

Administration

Linnae grew up in Naperville, Illinois and studied at Beloit College in Wisconsin. She attends Park West Church of God and came to Lonsdale in 2017. Linnae is a former educator and home schooled her own children, Victoria and Jacob. Linnae loves leading the children's choir and teaching children's Bible classes at her church. She’s a lover of coffee, chasing waterfalls, reading, driving 15-passenger vans, and enjoys a great murder/mystery television show.

Jenae Tiki Matikke

family care coordinator

Jenae grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and studied Social Work and Spanish at Middle Tennessee State University. She serves the families and students of Lonsdale while also sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jenae brings unity and enthusiasm to our team and is an incredible woman of God! Do yourself a favor and get to know Jenae! She loves to travel, write, drink water from ridiculously large bottles, and be in the outdoors!

 
 
 
 

Neil Anderson

Thrive resident director & church partnerships

Neil is a born and raised Californian and attended Biola University where he studied Theology and Christian Education. He has a heart to serve and the Lord brought him to Thrive in 2018 to lead our Thrive Residency program. Neil is married to Casey and has 3 beautiful kids. He loves baseball, soccer, hiking, biking, and being a friend those around him!

JoBeth Hill

volunteer coordinator

JoBeth grew up in Clarksville, TN and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! She came to Lonsdale in 2018 and has loved her time ever since. JoBeth and her husband Scottie are moving into Lonsdale this fall to continue investing deeply with the people in the neighborhood. She attends Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and she loves to play soccer, eat candy, relaxing by the pool with Thrive Board Member Lori McKelvy, and sipping cappuccinos!

 
 
 

Libby Gray

Kitchen & Garden Director

Libby is from Little Rock, Arkansas has lived in Knoxville for one whole year! After high school she completed the World Race where she traveled to Albania, the Philippines, and South Africa, largely working with teenagers and working in prison ministry. Libby is one 6 siblings. She is passionate about health and nutrition and is excited to combine and cultivate those passions in her role at Thrive. Libby enjoys all forms of art, cooking, making sweet memories with friends, traveling, and experiencing new cultures.

Mollye O’Rourke

Elementary program director

Mollye is from Knoxville and graduated from the University of Tennessee! She’s worked at Thrive for 7 years and attends Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. She serves as Thrive’s Elementary Program Director, overseeing all elementary sites. Mollye is gifted in art + design, loves exercising, learning Spanish and violin, and traveling around the world!

 
 
 

Lauren Batchelor

Main campus site Director

Lauren grew up in Knoxville and attended UTK, where she studied Hispanic Studies and ESL Education! She studied abroad in Chile, interned in Guatemala, and now does a lot of translating for Thrive. She began investing in Lonsdale in 2016 and has worked with elementary kids ever since. Lauren goes to Basswood Church and is deeply passionate about creating, hiking, carrying a lot of bags, climbing, and speaking Spanish!

Sarah Foster

School campus site director

Sarah invested in the community of Lonsdale for a number of years as a volunteer before she came on staff at Thrive. She grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Lee University with a degree in Elementary Education. After 3 years of serving as Thrive's Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah was pivotal in the implementation of our School Campus where she now serves as Site Director. Sarah loves early mornings, backpacking, kayaking, gardening, hilarious memes, and Lord of the Rings marathons.

Marisa Infield

parkridge site Director

Marisa is from Knoxville, TN and graduated form Union University in 2017 with a degree in Social Work. She has been instrumental in starting one of our newest sites, Thrive Parkridge. Marisa is laid back, loves dinner parties, and is always up for a road trip to the lake or the mountains. If you want to make Marisa's day, bring her a taco from La Herradura taco truck!

Charlene Basinger

Thrive Sprouts site director

Charlene grew up in Strawberry Plains, TN and attended The University of Tennessee- Knoxville. She has worked in Lonsdale since January 2018. Charlene currently attends Hope Fellowship. Her favorite people are her mom and dad and her best friend Gracie. She loves cats (very specifically her own), all things Harry Potter, traveling, exploring bookstores, listening to true crime podcasts, reading a good book, drinking iced coffee, and learning new things.

 
 
 

Josh Shelley

thrive upper program Director

Josh is from the great state of Georgia and graduated from Mercer University in 2012. Upon graduating, he enrolled in the Memphis Fellows Program then moved to Knoxville to work in the High School Ministry at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, where is he still actively involved. Josh became the Director of the Thrive Upper program in 2016. He is passionate about ministering to teenagers and loves setting up leaders to invest in the lives of students. Josh loves camping, the Atlanta Braves, hiking, pranking Becca, and finding new restaurants with friends.

Becca Campbell

High school director

Becca grew up in Knoxville and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! She has been working at Thrive for 5 years and attends Lonsdale Community Church. She recently moved into the Lonsdale neighborhood to deepen relationships with the families she loves. Becca loves drinking coffee, making tortillas, borrowing Josh’s LaCroixs, eating shrimp from Save-A-Lot, and you can always find her laughing.

 
 
 

Kathryn Jordan

middle school Director

Kathryn grew up in Knoxville and graduated from The University of Tennessee. She spent a year and half working for a church in Granada, Spain. Kathryn is currently living in Lonsdale as a part of the Thrive Residency. She is passionate about sharing the love of God with people of different cultures, and loves getting to connect with Spanish speakers! She’s a member of Antioch Church and enjoys being outside and staying active!

Jenna Rorex

Jenna grew up in North Carolina, graduating from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Elementary Education. Jenna then travelled to Memphis, TN to work with Service Over Self before coming to work at Thrive Lonsdale in the fall of 2012. Jenna is married to Taylor, whom she met through Young LIfe's Discipleship Focus program in Pigeon Forge, TN. Jenna loves organization, bright colors, and all things Dollywood.

 
 
 

Tony Rucker

custodian

Tony is one of our most beloved workers. He makes an effort to greet and know everyone by name. Tony has been working for Thrive and Soar Youth Ministries for over ten years, making him our longest serving worker. Tony has a big family, loves helping our Kitchen Director during meal times and you can always find him with a stash of candy for students
